Throughout the month of October, we invite low-income residents to sign-up for Thanksgiving & Christmas food and Christmas gifts for children 0-18. Food is for Owego residents; gifts for children are county-wide. Some businesses, organizations, families and churches adopt our families, providing food and/or gifts for one holiday and/or both. We are always looking for new organizations and families who are willing to adopt families. When families are not adopted, we look to area churches to provide gifts for the children (sweatshirts or pajamas) through their Angel Tree or Giving Trees.
